BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — The Missouri River is below flood stage in North Dakota's capital city for the first time in nearly three months.
KXMB-TV reports that the river fell below 16 feet in Bismarck on Thursday. It went above flood stage on June 2.
The Missouri River has flooded this year because of record water releases from dams due to excessive spring snowmelt and rain.
