BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Two North Dakota men remain hospitalized in a Minnesota burn center Friday after an oil well explosion Wednesday near Willison.
Two other men, 21-year-old Brendan Wegner of Montello, Wis., and Ray Hardy, of Mohal, have died from the well explosion that happened around 5:40 p.m.
A statement from Regions Hospital in St. Paul says Doug Hysjulien and Michael Twinn remain in critical condition Friday afternoon.
The fatal fire was one of two oil field-related blazes reported in the Williston area Wednesday. The other was much smaller and no one was hurt.
Both happened in a part of the state that is experiencing what many are calling the largest oil boom in recent North American history.
