Steffan catches 3 TDs in U-Mary win

BISMARCK — Tyler Steffan had another huge game as the University of Mary dismantled 20th-ranked Bemidji State 49-21 on homecoming Saturday at the Bismarck Community Bowl.

Steffan, a Dickinson High School graduate, caught three touchdown passes and had eight catches for 202 yards. He has seven touchdown receptions in his last two games.

Playing in his first game since the fourth week of the season, U-Mary quarterback Craig Bagnell passed for 315 yards and two scores, completing 18 of 26 passes.

Josh Murray ran for 125 yards and two touchdowns, including a 39-yard score early in the fourth quarter.

It was the first time the Marauders have defeated a nationally ranked for since beginning NCAA Division II play in 2006.
