Miller takes bronze in 400 at Pan Am Games

GUADALAJARA, Mexico — Ramon Miller took home the bronze medal in the 400 meters for the Bahamas on Wednesday night during the Pan American Games.

GUADALAJARA, Mexico — Ramon Miller took home the bronze medal in the 400 meters for the Bahamas on Wednesday night during the Pan American Games.

Miller, a 24-year-old former national champion runner for Dickinson State, ran a season-best time of 45.01 seconds.

Costa Rica’s Cardenas Brenes took home gold with a 44.65-second finish. Aquino Santos of the Dominican Republic was second at 44.71.

Miller competes today with his Bahamas teammates in the 1,600 relay.

Former DSU national champion hurdler Allan Ayala fell short of his finals bid in the 400 hurdles on Wednesday. Ayala bowed out of his semifinal race because of an injury.
