Preparing for a fright night

Fox Weiler, 10, helps set up the Serpent’s Lair at the Reaper’s Keep haunted barn Thursday afternoon, 2 miles south of Dickinson on Highway 22. When completed, the barn will be transformed into a maze of ghoulish scenes and creatures. It opens Sunday with a day tour from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The barn also is open from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday and Monday. Children ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. It’s operated by Dave and Anita Weiler, owners of Dave’s Quality Carpet Care.
