House says university may drop Fighting Sioux name

BISMARCK - The North Dakota House voted 63-31 this morning to repeal the state law requiring the University of North Dakota to keep its Fighting Sioux nickname.

BISMARCK - The North Dakota House voted 63-31 this morning to repeal the state law requiring the University of North Dakota to keep its Fighting Sioux nickname. The bill now goes to the governor for his signature.
