Gov. Jack Dalrymple announced Wednesday that Jim Arthaud, Belfield-based Missouri Basin Well Service owner, will serve as one of his campaign chairmen for the 2012 gubernatorial election, according to a press release.
“I’m honored that he chose me,” Arthaud said. “You look at the guys from the east end of the state and you get put in that same category, you go ‘wow!’”
Arthaud said he has worked with Dalrymple on issues with oil and gas producing counties. He added the governor is a great working partner who cares about North Dakota’s future in oil and infrastructure
development.
“He just gets it,” Arthaud said. “It’s amazing to just take him out here and show him … and he sees it, understands it and gets after it.”
Other chairmen include Fargo resident Doug Burgum, North Dakota Rep. Mike Nathe, R.-Bismarck and Connie Nicholas, Cando.
“I am proud to have a great campaign team led by Doug, Connie, Mike and Jim,” Dalrymple said. “As representatives from all across the state, they are each passionate about North Dakota, and I look forward to working with them.”
Arthaud is also a Billings County commissioner and sits on the North Dakota Association of Oil and Gas Producing Counties executive committee.
Arthaud lives in Medora with his wife, Lynn, and two children. He said he is excited for Dalrymple’s run for governor.
