Sentinel Butte woman killed in crash east of Billings

BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — The Montana Highway Patrol says a 53-year old North Dakota woman was killed when her car struck a deer and then hit a guardrail on Interstate 94 east of Billings.

BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — The Montana Highway Patrol says a 53-year old North Dakota woman was killed when her car struck a deer and then hit a guardrail on Interstate 94 east of Billings.

The patrol says the woman, who was identified as Sheila Rieman, of Sentinel Butte. was westbound at about 8:40 p.m. Thursday when her car hit a deer. The car then went off the road and struck a guardrail near the median. The guardrail went through the driver's side of the car and hit Rieman, pinning her in her car.

She died at the scene.
