Digger to blame for power outage Tuesday in north Dickinson
Several member/owners, primarily commercial accounts, north of Dickinson lost electrical service late Tuesday afternoon after a digger hit a line, according to Roughrider Electric Cooperative.
Several member/owners, primarily commercial accounts, north of Dickinson lost electrical service late Tuesday afternoon after a digger hit a line, according to Roughrider Electric Cooperative.
The outage on the underground power line was caused by a “public dig-in” and Roughrider was notified and dispatched a crew to the area.
Linemen were able to isolate the damaged underground power line and power was restored, according to the cooperative.
The public and contractors are reminded to call ND ONE CALL before excavating at 800-795-0555 or 811 to get the utilities located for a safe excavation project.
