Mandan High School announced Wednesday that head football coach Pat O’Brien has resigned.

O’Brien was the Braves’ head coach the past seven seasons and was an assistant for 10 years before that.
Mandan finished with a 9-2 record this season, falling to Bismarck High on a last-second field goal in the Class 3A semifinals.
O’Brien had a 28-39 overall record as Mandan’s head coach.
Mandan activities director Lorell Jungling said search for O’Brien’s replacement will begin immediately.
