Hardrocker men outgun Blue Hawks, 75-58

Mines (4-4) had a 30-14 edge on points in the paint, but were led in scoring by guard Tanner Friesen’s 17 points.
Kyle Doerr added 16 points, Michael Dietz had 12 and Nathan Jacobson scored 11.
DSU junior center Matt Lee had team highs of 18 points and 10 rebounds. Sophomore guard Robbie Morey hit four 3-pointers to finish with 12 points off the bench.
The Blue Hawks (5-7) outrebounded Mines 32-24 but shot just 35 percent from the field.
Mines was 19 of 26 (73 percent) from the free-throw line as they earned a win over their former Dakota Athletic Conference rival.
