MINOT — Nikki Grinsteinner tallied a triple-double to lead Dickinson Trinity to its first win of the season.
MINOT — Nikki Grinsteinner tallied a triple-double to lead Dickinson Trinity to its first win of the season.
The Titans used a strong first half to defeat Des Lacs-Burlington 67-28 on Saturday.
Grinsteinner supplied 19 points, 10 rebounds and 10 steals. The Titans (1-1) had a 37-14 lead at the half.
“We’ve talked to her a lot about taking ownership of the team,” Trinity head coach Alysia Barman said. “We need her to go hard every single night because we’re going to go when she goes.”
Gretchen Weir came off the bench to score 16 points, six rebounds and two steals. Andrea Jirges added 13 points, while Rachel Jahner had seven.
“They couldn’t take away our big girls tonight and we just kept going at them,” Barman said.
The Lakers were led by Courtney Vogel with 10 points.
