Yellowjackets pull away late to beat DSU

BILLINGS, Mont. — Catching fire late and using five players in double figures helped the Montana State Billings men’s basketball team come away with an 82-66 victory over Dickinson State Friday evening inside Alterowitz Gymnasium.

Jaxon Myaer had 14 points and Preston Richards added 11 points and nine rebounds for the Yellowjackets, who improved to 6-4.

John Hanstad led the Blue Hawks with a game-high 15 points and Jarek Hansen scored 14 and had a team-high five boards. Casper Hesseldal had 11 points and had four steals for the Blue Hawks used the game as an exhibition. Their record remains 7-9.
