BISMARCK — Bismarck High netted two goals in the first period en route to a 7-1 West Region win over Dickinson on Tuesday.

“Every period we played well,” Dickinson head coach Tom Folske said. “We just have to keep building what we’ve got here.”

Brendin Steiner scored the Midgets’ lone goal in the second with 3 minutes, 46 seconds left in the period. Michael Porter had the assist.

Steiner has scored five goals in the last four games.

“Brendin will be the first to admit that a lot of that credit goes to his linemates,” Folske said. “He’s just putting them in the net right now.”

Matt Porter and Jamison Gray each saw time in the net. Porter handled 19 shots on goal midway through the second period. Gray came on in relief facing 25 shots on goal.

Every goal Bismarck had was scored by a different player.

The Midgets don’t play until Dec. 29 when the team heads to Devils Lake for a nonconference game.
