BISMARCK — On the road, at home, the Dickinson Trinity boys basketball team puts up big points.
The No. 4-ranked Titans racked up a 24-point lead at the half en route to an 81-42 win over Fargo Oak Grove on Friday at the Shiloh Christian New Year’s Invitational.
“I thought the biggest was that we defended extremely well,” Trinity head coach Gregg Grinsteinner said. “We had two quarters were we held Oak Grove to six and five points.”
Jacob Volk tallied 18 points and three blocks to lead Trinity (10-0). Austin Gawryluk added 12 points.
“He (Gawryluk) came off the bench and played extremely well,” Grinsteinner said. “Probably half of our points were bench points and I think that’s important for us, down the road.”
The Titans led 64-26 at the end of the third quarter.
Mason Schiff tallied 10 points, while Isiah Binstock had 11 points and seven rebounds.
Brant Conant led Oak Grove with 15 points and six rebounds.
