The Dickinson Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Committee is bringing the cuisine of Italy to Dickinson with its annual “Sampling of Sicily.”

Serving is 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16, at the Ramada Grand Dakota Lodge.

“It’s a great event to come out with family and friends — a great way to support the community,” Chamber Executive Director Lexi Sebastian said. “It’s also a great networking oppportunity.”

The food stations will feature a salad, pasta carbonara, linguini pasta, Parmesan pasta, turkey porchetta, fresh vegetables, cheese and a tiramisu dessert.

Pianist Julie Opdahl will provide entertainment.

“It’s a laid-back event — a great time for family and friends to enjoy Italian cuisine,” chairwoman Deedra Weidner said.

The purchase of a bottle of wine comes with a ticket to win a case of wine, she said.

A portion of the proceeds will support the Ambassador Committee. Its members hold ribbon-cutting ceremonies for new businesses in Dickinson, present Home Town Pride Awards to construction or renovations, and assist with a membership retention drive, said Weidner.

Tickets may be purchased at the Chamber of Commerce or from Chamber members. Tickets are $17 for adults and $7 for children. Tickets are $20 for adults and $9 for children at the door.
