Speed reduced on highway west of new Town due to surface breaks
Traffic speeds are reduced this week on ND Highway 23, approximately 4 miles west of New Town,
Traffic speeds are reduced this week on ND Highway 23, approximately 4 miles west of New Town, on a segment of highway worked on during the 2011 construction seaso, according to a press release from the North Dakota Department of Transportation.
The highway has a temporary surface which is experiencing breakups.
Work crews are repairing surface as they appear. A permanent asphalt surface will be completed on this segment during the 2012 construction season.
Speeds are reduced to 45 mph and flaggers will be present.
