BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — Authorities are investigating the discovery of a male body along northeastern Montana's Hi-Line near the North Dakota border.
Roosevelt County Sheriff Freedom Crawford says the body was found Friday in a ditch along U.S. Highway 2 near the town of Bainville.
Crawford says deputies responded and are trying to determine the cause of death.
Crawford declined to say if foul play was suspected and would not immediately offer any more details including the age of the deceased male.
Montana Department of Justice spokeswoman Judy Beck says two agents from the Division of Criminal Investigation will assist in the probe at Crawford's request.
