No. 13 Jimmies hold off Blue Hawks

VALLEY CITY — Bridget Schuneman and Amber Ramlo each had double-doubles Saturday to lead the No. 13-ranked Jamestown College women’s basketball team to a win over Dickinson State in the Dakota Athletic Conference Tipoff Tournament.

VALLEY CITY — Bridget Schuneman and Amber Ramlo each had double-doubles Saturday to lead the No. 13-ranked Jamestown College women’s basketball team to a win over Dickinson State in the Dakota Athletic Conference Tipoff Tournament.

Schuneman had 22 points and 10 rebounds as the Jimmies beat the Blue Hawks 75-66 at Osman Fieldhouse. Ramlo added 19 points and 12 rebounds.

Yianna Nadeau had 19 points for the Blue Hawks (7-14, 0-1 DAC). Mandy Mullock added 13 points and seven rebounds. Kylee Bittner and Jessica Nieves each scored 12 points.

Kellie Schuneman added 12 points and five assists for the Jimmies (19-4, 1-0 DAC).

DSU now faces Mayville State at 11 a.m. today in the consolation game of the tournament. Jamestown takes on Valley City State at 3 p.m. in the championship.
