Shooting kills 1, injures 1 in Beulah apartment

HAZEN (AP) — One man was reported dead and another injured after a shooting in a Beulah apartment in Mercer County.

Officials said that three men have been taken into police custody after the deadly gunfire, which was reported at about 7:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Authorities received a 911 call to respond to an unknown emergency at an apartment complex just off state Highway 49 in west Beulah. Reports soon followed that two men had been shot; one died at the scene.

Authorities got a tip that led them to two men believed to be involved in the shooting. A third suspect was taken into custody just before midnight.
