BEACH — The Beach girls basketball team didn’t do many things wrong in a game against the top teams in Region 7.
The Buccaneers used a strong second half en route to a 64-44 win over Dickinson Trinity on Saturday.
Beach (13-2) is the top team in District 13 and grabbed a 34-27 lead at halftime.
Nikki Grinsteinner led the Titans (9-7), the District 14 leaders, with a game-high 22 points.
“Nikki did a great job inside and our guards did a good job of getting her the basketball,” Trinity head coach Alysia Barman said.
The Buccaneers’ leader was Kelcee Dykins with 19 points, followed by Hailee Farstveet with 17 including three 3-pointers. Cydni Stedman supplied 11 points.
The Titans bring their talents back home for the final District 14 game of the season against Killdeer at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
