The Dickinson State University Vice President of Academic Affairs has resigned from his position, officials said Friday at a press conference at the Badlands Activities Center.

DSU President D. C. Coston received a letter from Jon Brudvig stating he wanted to be released from his responsibilities as vice president immediately, which Coston accepted.

Brudvig will stay with the university for several months, Coston said.

“We had a short conversation,” Coston said. “He indicated that he has been looking at his career and that he likely will be pursuing some new avenues.”

Brudvig was first employed at DSU in August 2007.
