One dead in Highway 22 vehicle collision
One man is dead after being struck by another vehicle on Highway 22 today. The victim, whose name is expected to be released Wednesday, was traveling south when he attempted to pass another southbound pickup that was attempting to make a left turn.

The victim, whose name is expected to be released Wednesday, was traveling south when he attempted to pass another southbound pickup that was attempting to make a left turn.
The victim’s 1999 Ford pickup clipped the rear of the 2004 Ford pickup 5 miles south of Mandaree, then slid sideways into oncoming traffic, where it was struck by 51-year-old Humberto Garcia’s northbound 2011 International straight truck.
The crash remains under investigation.
The driver of the 1999 Ford pickup was pronounced dead at the scene. The other two drivers were not injured.
