Dakota Wolf named NSIC women's indoor track athlete of the year
BURNSVILLE, Minn. — Dakota Wolf was named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference’s women’s indoor track athlete of the year on Tuesday.
BURNSVILLE, Minn. — Dakota Wolf was named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference’s women’s indoor track athlete of the year on Tuesday.
Wolf, a University of Mary junior from Dickinson, was the high-point scorer at the NSIC championship meet last weekend in Mankato, Minn., where she led the No. 12-ranked Marauders to a conference championship.
Wolf won the 3,000 meters in 9 minutes, 53.91 seconds on Friday and then won the mile run (4:58.18) and took third in the 5,000 (17:20.76) on Saturday. She has the nation’s third-fastest time in the mile.
U-Mary coach Mike Thorson was named NSIC women’s coach of the year.
Dickinson native Brienna Lynch was one of 14 Marauders to earn all-NSIC honors. She finished third in the 600 and was part of the winning 1,600 relay team at the NSIC championship meet.
