Letter: Dickinson Press owes Heartland Homes an apology

The Dickinson Press used my picture and eviction circumstance Feb. 23 to enhance a story portraying Heartland Homes Village as acting unfairly to some of their tenants.

The reason that four other men and I were evicted last Wednesday was not the fault of Heartland Homes Village. It was the fault of two small companies that ran a man camp without a lease on Heartland’s property,

When this breach of contract became known to Heartland, it took appropriate measures to stop this illegal activity; exactly what I and other property owners would do.

According to the information previously stated, I would like to see The Dickinson Press recant their using of my story to portray Heartland as being unfair.

Allen S. Paris, water truck driver, Colorado Springs, Colo.
