The fire broke out at about 8 p.m. Saturday and was contained to one room of the hotel, which is on 14th Avenue South. The room's occupant was taken to Essential Health and treated for smoke inhalation. City officials say no condition report is available.
Another hotel visitor was brought down from the second floor by ladder. He was not injured. The remaining occupants were evacuated, and about 75 percent were allowed to return to their rooms after the blaze was contained.
The other 25 percent were moved to different hotels.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. An estimate of the damage is not available.
