Johnson, Minot reach consolation finals

FARGO — Senior forward Holly Johnson scored 18 points and added seven rebounds to help lead Minot High to a 64-46 victory against Grand Forks Central in the consolation semifinals of the Class A state girls basketball tournament at the Bison Sports Arena.

Junior forward Aundrea Hankla added 17 points and six rebounds for the Majettes.

Sophomore guard Nicole Fennell paced the Knights with 15 points and six rebounds.

Longtin, Braves roll past Davies

Michaela Longtin led all scorers with 22 points to lead Mandan to a 75-50 win over Fargo Davies during the consolation semifinals.

McKayla Howling Wolf and Courtney Goetz each added 13 points for the Braves, who play in the fifth-place game at 8:30 a.m. today at the Fargodome.

Lexi Klabo scored 18 points to lead the Eagles, who finish the season 11-13.
