Letter: Respect and Dickinson-area roads could be better sooner than later
Dickinson is planning for some great improvements to our roads and traffic patterns. The problem is this could be several years in the future!
We have a choice that can improve our roads sooner than this and we don’t need a construction project, bonds or more traffic laws.
We simply need to make the choice to start respecting others on the road.
Make a choice to control our hectic lives, instead of letting our schedules control us. Make the choice to slow down, show common courtesy, and drive defensively. Make the choice to stop texting or talking on the phones while driving and pay attention to the traffic and roads around you.
Respecting yourself and others should be the norm. It’s a matter of choice and the reward is less frustration and improved roads now.
Let’s not wait for road construction or traffic laws. Let’s make the roads better now. Slow down and give respect.
