Owner Brandon Holt started the company after an issue with a car rental left him stranded in Bismarck, he said.
“We came up here originally just to drive trucks like anyone else,” Holt said. “There’s a lot of people flying in and out of this part of the country. They’re trying to go home and see their families every couple of weeks. It’s a lot less stressful to sit on a bus for an hour and a half then to have to drive.”
The shuttle runs on a loop from Dickinson to Williston, Minot, Bismarck and then back to Dickinson, picking up and dropping off customers along the way.
“They can actually call and get a specific place to get picked up if they want to be picked up at their man camp or at their house,” Holt said. “We’re flexible on where to pick people up but we try to get a meeting spot where it’s quicker to get everyone at the same place.”
Joe Pearson, who is residing in Williston, has been using the service.
“It was better for me to use them than to get a car and drive it on these dirt roads,” Pearson said. “I can’t say good enough things about Brandon and their service. I’ve used them and I’m going to continue to use them.”
He said Holt is “kind, courteous and professional.”
“Use their service and sit back and relax and let them fellas do the driving,” Pearson said.
Holt has a 14-passenger van and a car to use when he only has one or two passengers.
He also offers a luggage trailer so passengers aren’t crowded when the shuttle van is full.
Holt also plans to expand with additional shuttle vans.
Airport Express Shuttles offers free Wi-Fi to its passengers along with discounts for groups and corporate customers.
“Since we’ve been open we’ve been helping the hotels out in Dickinson, running a shuttle from the hotel to the airport,” Holt said. “We’re just here to help the people of this area get to the airport as quick as possible.”
