One Dickinson resident was injured and another arrested after a vehicle rolled on Empire Road in Dickinson Thursday morning, according to the Dickinson Police Department.

Christopher Kirkpatrick, 26, was hospitalized after the incident and Clifford Trimble, 28, was arrested for allegedly giving law enforcement false information, said DPD Capt. David Wilkie.

The driver, who police determined was Trimble, lost control of the vehicle at about 4:30 a.m. and it rolled onto its passenger side, Wilkie said.

“The two claimed a man named Eddie was the driver,” Wilkie said. “Initially they said Eddie was a black male. The story changed that Eddie was a white older guy.”

A witness told officers they only saw Kirkpatrick and Trimble get out of the vehicle, Wilkie said.

Kirkpatrick was no longer at St. Joseph’s Hospital Thursday afternoon, staff said.
