The Dickinson Area Public Library has launched an online learning system that teaches conversation skills for communication in 11 languages.

To access the Mango Languages system, the participant needs an Internet connection and a Dickinson Area Public Library card, according to a press release.
The system is web-based and remotely accessible, allowing study anywhere there is an Internet connection. The participant listens to and repeats after native speakers to learn the words and phrases. The lessons instruct how those pieces can be rearranged and combined to make new thoughts and conversation, according to the press release.
The languages are Arabic, Cantonese Chinese, Mandarin Chinese, German, Hindi, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish (Latin American.) English courses for foreign speakers include Cantonese Chinese, Mandarin Chinese and Spanish.
