Authorities checking deaths of 2 Devils Lake women

DEVILS LAKE, N.D. (AP) — Authorities are looking into the deaths of two women who were found in a Devils Lake apartment.

Police Det. Sue Schwab says the deaths are considered suspicious, although there weren't any signs right away that a crime was committed.

Paramedics were called to the apartment Tuesday and found a 56-year-old woman who wasn't breathing. She died at the scene.

Another 52-year-old woman was taken to hospital in Devils Lake and died there.

Autopsies are being done to determine what caused the two women to die. Authorities on Thursday did not identify them.
