DSU trip to Sioux City cut short

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — The Dickinson State men’s and women’s track and field teams saw the Sioux City Relay cut short due to severe weather conditions.

Before the weather conditions arose, DSU saw a handful of top placers during the second day of the two-day event Saturday.

The Blue Hawks sophomore Nathan Magstadt took second place in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.79 seconds.

On the women’s side, Brianny Williams broke the school record in the 100 hurdles (14.78). Brittany Young placed fourth in the 800 run (2:15.76) on Friday, which qualified her for the NAIA National Meet.

On the drive back to Dickinson, the Blue Hawks make a stop in Bismarck for the Maurader Invitational today.
