Midgets add qualifiers at Mandan MAR meet

MANDAN — The Dickinson High boys track and field team had two state individual qualifiers and a relay victory on Saturday at the Mandan MAR meet.

Jace Dukart and Jackson Binstock ran qualifying times in the 200 and 3,200 meters, respectively.

Dukart had a time of 23.12 seconds, falling to second place behind Bismarck’s Tyler Unruh (22.84). Binstock was third at 10:04.16.

Dickinson’s 800 relay team of Mason Frank, Dukart, Mike Cherwinski and Taren Staduinger won with a time of 1:34.21. The Midgets’ 400 relay team qualified with a fifth-place time of 45.08 seconds and the 1,600 relay team finished third and qualified at 3:32.37.

Team scores: Bismarck 283½, Bismarck Century 165½, Dickinson High 83, Minot High 70, Williston 35, Mandan 34, Bismarck St. Mary’s 18.
