A 25-year-old man was arrested Sunday morning after allegedly firing a gun in a Dickinson mobile home park, according to the Dickinson Police Department.
Ray Brewer of Dickinson is out on a $300 bond, said Karen Buresh, clerk of municipal court.
Brewer did not threaten anyone with the firearm,” DPD Capt. Joe Cianni said. “He is claiming he shot rounds into the ground.”
Brewer had been consuming alcohol prior to the incident, which occurred on Third Avenue West, Cianni said.
Brewer was allegedly arrested for reckless endangerment, being a felon in possession of a firearm and discharging a firearm in city limits, he said.
“He was charged in city court with discharging a firearm,” said Jim Hope, Stark County assistant state’s attorney.
He may also be charged in district court, Hope said.
“There are a couple of other potentially more serious charges that we will attend to quite quickly,” he said. “There’s just a few things that need to be ironed out yet.”
The gun was allegedly stolen, Cianni added.
