Dickinson natives Steffan, Wolf win U-Mary Athlete of the Year awards
BISMARCK — Dickinson natives Tyler Steffan and Dakota Wolf were awarded the University of Mary's Athlete of the Year honors on Tuesday.
BISMARCK — Dickinson natives Tyler Steffan and Dakota Wolf were awarded the University of Mary's Athlete of the Year honors on Tuesday.
Steffan, a junior on the football field and a senior in baseball, was named to the NCAA Division II AFCA All-America football team after leading the nation in touchdown receptions.
A three-time All-American already this year, Wolf led the Marauders to a fifth-place finish at the Division II cross country championships, an Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference women’s indoor track and field championship and 13th place at the Division II indoor national championship meet.
U-Mary honored 15 student-athletes for their athletic, academic, community service and leadership successes at its inaugural Night of Champions.
