Letter: New energy-rich publication bonus to western North Dakota

Tuesday in our mail we received The Drill paper.

I am new to the state, moving here from Arizona due to a relationship with a native farmer.

Arizona is a “right-to-work” state. A state that will tell you that you’re lucky to have a job, so take it or leave it. This is a state where good jobs are hard to find and the pay scale is low. My oldest son works in California due to the higher pay. He comes home to Arizona on the weekends. Another son was out of work for over a year there in Arizona.

Many of my friends ask me about the job field here in North Dakota. I give them the information I’m aware of on the job market, housing and living conditions.

I offer this information to my friends and family in Arizona because I want them to have the opportunity to provide a better life for themselves.

The information I pass on is from hearsay, email forwards and from the local paper (when I can get one). Receiving The Drill in my mail was very welcomed. Thank you!

I hope we receive every issue. I’ve already passed on your website address to friends.

Again thank you for publishing The Drill, a much needed source of information on the North Dakota oil industry.

Loretta Moralez, Noonan and Congress, Ariz.

*Editor’s note: The Drill is a new Dickinson Press publication, distributed across western North Dakota.
