GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — One of the three former University of North Dakota football players facing drug charges after a search of their house has pleaded not guilty.
Twenty-two-year-old Justin Belotti is charged with possessing anabolic steroids and the prescription drug Adderall.
Belotti, Jon Goertz and Kenneth Watkins Jr. were arrested last December along with a fourth man, Richard McConn, who is not a football player.
The Grand Forks Herald reports that Watkins served 10 days in jail, was put on unsupervised probation for a year and fined $500. Goertz's attorney has filed a motion to suppress some evidence, and a hearing is scheduled June 4. McConn is scheduled for a pretrial conference on June 28.
