GLENDIVE, Mont. — Brett Braunagel had a hand in three victories Friday at the Jock Stop Invitational track and field meet held at Dawson County High School.
The Dickinson High senior took first in the 100 meters (11.16 seconds) and the 200 (22.93), edging teammate Jace Dukart’s runner-up time of 23.43, and was a part of the winning 400 relay team.
The Dickinson 400 relay team of Braunagel, Dukart, Mason Frank and Mike Cherwinski took first in 43.71 seconds. The 1,600 relay of Dukart, Austin Mack, Dallas Zastoupil and Joseph Sickler won in 3:28.92.
Midgets senior Vlad Kutka with a second-place time of 9:56.16 in the 3,200 to qualify for the Class A state meet.
The Midgets had a strong showing in the 400 meters. Mack was second at 51.33, Sickler took fifth at 53.6 and Taren Staudinger finished sixth at 53.77.
Jordan Wanner took second in the shot put with a throw of 43 feet, 8 inches. Levi Jordheim was third in the high jump at 6 feet.
