Congressional candidate Kevin Cramer, trying for the fourth time to warm that seat, tipped his hand recently when asked a challenging question facing our country.
His answer was to give up and forget about obeying the law, if it is easy. I am referring to Cramer’s now-known position in favor of amnesty for illegal aliens. He said our country cannot deport them so we should just let them stay. I have a huge problem with this.
Those that break our laws need to be held accountable, not rewarded. Amnesty for political expediency is the wrong answer. This is a pattern with Cramer though. Maybe that is why he has been rejected three times already.
He short-circuited the party endorsement process for his own gain knowing he couldn’t win support of those that know him. He is counting on uninformed voters to send him to Washington.
He has been a political appointee for decades, jumping from one office to the next, cashing in for his own gain.
North Dakotans value hard work and doing what’s right. We solve problems, we don’t give up and we don’t take the easy road. To me there can be no reason to vote for the type of candidate that clearly doesn’t understand this. Cramer doesn’t have the right position on immigration. He rushed to give an answer on a complicated issue that was a thoughtless answer, a wrong answer.
That is Cramer; the thoughtless candidate and the wrong candidate, for any office.
