Letter: Candidate outstanding community member

I’d like to call to your attention that Dann Greenwood not only has the professional qualifications for the southwest North Dakota judge position, but has outstanding community involvement and is a successful practicing attorney.

Greenwood is president of the Roughrider Kiwanis Club and has served in many areas of his church including being the chartered organization representative to a Boy Scout troop and Cub Scout pack sponsored by the church. He is on the board of the Boy Scouts of America representing Southwest North Dakota. He has been president of the State Bar Association and has corrected state bar exams.

His character is of the highest quality. He did not hesitate to become involved when he witnessed a hit and run accident earlier this year.

Greenwood has assisted with installation of back to school signs to assist drivers and those without young children beware that school is opening and to drive with care.

He helps with the Dickinson High and Trinity after the prom party, since the party’s creation, which is designed to create a safer place to celebrate at a time when our kids are most vulnerable.

Greenwood has served scouting by holding most positions in a pack, troop and district. He also assists scouts in southwest North Dakota by setting up Eagle Boards of Review and occasionally reviewing Eagle Scout projects.

He helps the Boy Scouts of southwest North Dakota by contacting Scout family members to make contributions to the financial goals of the council.

He has been instrumental in producing nearly all of the popcorn sold at the Shrine Circus ever since the circus was moved indoors to make it possible for local Shriners to do concessions. When Greenwood says he will do something, it will be done and done well.

It is a natural that Greenwood would be an excellent choice for the judge position especially with the case load now being experienced by the Southwest North Dakota courts. His business experience complimented by local involvement makes him an outstanding choice to be in a position where the values of our local citizens must be applied.

The election of a district judge is a top priority for voters and Dann Greenwood is a clear choice.
