A man trying to get out of the rain found himself in a hot tub Saturday morning, but not before the Dickinson Police Department woke him up first.
DPD received a call that someone broke into Keller Hearth ’N Home Products in Dickinson at approximately 7 a.m., Sgt. Pete Sellie said.
The front glass door was smashed and officers found the man passed out in one of the display spas. There were no other damages, Sellie said.
“We don’t believe he was out to steal anything or that any other businesses were harmed,” he said. “It looks like he was just drunk and getting in from the rain. Luckily there was no water in it. Otherwise he may have passed away in there.”
DPD took the man into custody. It did not immediately release his name and the incident is under investigation.
