Kovacs, DHS girls tennis bow out at West Region

BISMARCK — The Dickinson girls tennis season is over after freshman Meryl Kovacs bowed out of the West Region Tournament on Saturday with a consolation-round loss.

Alicia Beck of Bismarck St. Mary’s held off Kovacs 6-3, 7-5 in a state-qualifying match of the singles tournament.

“She played her well, very well,” Dickinson head coach James Kramer said.
