Letter: Take away choices, dishonor those who lost lives
I was asked one day why does it have to rain on Memorial Day weekend and especially on Memorial Day.
I thought for a while then I said, the rain is the tears of the angels crying for the fallen that served our country. They fought for our country to give us our freedom.
The freedom our government is taking away. Then I was asked what freedom is that. I replied, the freedom of free speech, the right to bear arms, religious freedom, letting us say the Pledge of Allegiance in schools, affordable health care choices, reasonable child care discipline and reasonable taxes.
Without these, we have dishonored and disgraced those that fought and lost their lives from the time America was colonized until the present. War after war we fight just to have free choice taken away.
That is why the angels cry and as we remember our fallen and cry, so do the angels cry harder?
