ND Public Service Commission chair leaves Friday
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota Public Service Commission Chairman Tony Clark is resigning his job today.
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota Public Service Commission Chairman Tony Clark is resigning his job today.
Clark is taking an appointment to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. It oversees the nation's electric distribution network, interstate energy pipelines and other facilities.
North Dakota Sen. John Hoeven is giving Clark his oath of office at the state Capitol at 2 p.m. Friday.
Clark says he'll be signing the papers that make him a commissioner shortly before he takes the oath.
Public Service Commission applauded Clark Thursday and presented him with a global positioning system device for his car.
Clark is the longest-serving member among the three public service commissioners.
He has the largest office on the Capitol's 12th floor, and Commissioner Brian Kalk will be moving in. Kalk will take Clark's place as PSC chairman.
