Local contestants eliminated at CNFR
CASPER, Wyo. — Every local contestant at the College National Finals Rodeo has bowed out before the championship round.

After ending Thursday’s performance tied for 11th, Dickinson State’s Laura Waldo finished the long round tied for 13th in the goat tying. DSU’s Bobbi Grann finished 16th.
Jessica Ehlers, a Reeder native attending Northwest College of Wyoming, finished 16th in the breakaway roping. DSU senior Ashley Schaper ended up 26th. They both went 2-for-3 in the long rounds.
DSU’s Victoria Netzer ended the CNFR 17th in the barrel racing while Bobbi Grann was 42nd after tipping barrels in both her second and third performances.
North Dakotans Derek Weinreis, of Beach, and Levi O’Keeffe, of Mohall, took 15th in the team roping for Eastern Wyoming College. They went 2-for-3.
DSU’s Turner Harris and Black Hills State’s Taylor Williams, who came into the CNFR ranked third in the team roping, missed in all three rounds.
