Now is the time to gather information on what candidates for state and legislative positions have or have not stood up for, and what we might expect from them if elected.
- Who gave enough thought to problems that could have been predicted in the Oil Patch?
- Where were the “yes” and “no” votes on children’s health care, insurance and day care?
- Who supported more affordable and adequate education for all students in North Dakota?
- Which candidates made arguments for the amounts of oil money locked away in funds as opposed to the amounts needed for immediate human and infrastructure needs such as affordable housing, schools, road repair and law enforcement ?
The time is right to go to newspapers, websites, political gatherings, voting records and special hearings to learn about candidates and what their priorities are.
