Roesler, Dolezal fall short in US semifinals

EUGENE, Ore. — Fargo native Laura Roesler failed to qualify for the 800 meters Saturday at the U.S. Olympic Track Trials at Hayward Field.

EUGENE, Ore. — Fargo native Laura Roesler failed to qualify for the 800 meters Saturday at the U.S. Olympic Track Trials at Hayward Field.

Roesler, a sophomore at the University of Oregon and running on her home track, finished fourth in her semifinal heat and ninth overall with a time of 2:03.55. The top three from each heat and the next two fastest times qualified for today’s finals.

Stanley native Riley Dolezal placed 17th in the javelin semifinals with a toss of 232-2. He did not advance to the finals.
