BISMARCK — A longtime employee of a North Dakota credit union is accused of stealing about $130,000 from the organization.
Georgia Schwartz, of Glen Ullin, is charged in federal court with embezzlement and misapplication from a credit union, and false entries. She has pleaded not guilty.
Prosecutors say the money was taken over a 24-year period from the Glen Ullin Credit Union, now known as the Western Cooperative Credit Union. Schwartz allegedly kept two sets of records to conceal the crime.
A spokesman for the federal public defender's office had no comment.
Trial is scheduled Sept. 11 in Bismarck.
