Mandan’s Schwagler near front in goat tying at NHSFR
ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. — Mandan’s Teddi Schwagler was sitting high in the goat tying standings after the first three performances of the National High School Finals Rodeo on Monday.
ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. — Mandan’s Teddi Schwagler was sitting high in the goat tying standings after the first three performances of the National High School Finals Rodeo on Monday.
Schwagler had a time of 9.07 seconds to finish second in Sunday night’s performance. She was one of but a handful of North Dakota contestants to have good luck at the NHSFR.
Keaton Schaffer, a Broadus, Mont., cowboy who competes in North Dakota, was eighth in Monday morning’s steer wrestling performance with a time of 11.08.
Glen Ullin’s Cameron Morman had a time of 15.5 seconds in Sunday’s steer wrestling.
Mandan’s Layne Larson was ninth in the pole bending Monday morning (21.011 seconds) and Watford City’s Sadie Kieson was eighth in the Monday evening girls cow cutting with 208 points.
